Professor level in the comparative politics of Africa. The position will begin July 1, 2027. The successful candidate will teach two courses per semester across a range of offerings, including the department’s introductory course in comparative politics, taught in rotation. Bowdoin is particularly interested in candidates dedicated to undergraduate teaching and with a promise of long-term successful research. A Ph.D.
in political science is expected by the date of the appointment.
