Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT Position Details The Department of Electrical Engineering at The City College of New York (CCNY) is home to a diverse and vibrant research community and is affiliated with major research centers across the City University of New York, including the Advanced Science Research Center. Our mission reflects CCNY’s longstanding commitment to

excellence and access in public higher education. The Department of Electrical Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured faculty position. We are seeking exceptional candidates with strong research credentials and a demonstrated commitment to teaching who will support and expand our academic programs in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Cybersecurity. Areas of interest include

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: We invite applications from candidates with expertise in reinforcement learning, computer vision, robotics, and embedded intelligence, and AI hardware acceleration. Applications of AI in the various Electrical and Computer Engineering areas (e.g., anomaly detection, forecasting, quantum AI, and cybersecurity) are also of interest. Power Electronics: We seek expertise in

advanced power semiconductor devices such as wide-bandgap transistors and diodes; novel converter topologies; intelligent control; and integration of AI into secure power management systems. Micro/Nano Electronics: We welcome candidates focused on secure and energy-efficient systems, autonomous AI-driven electronic design, quantum computing hardware, RF and mixed-signal design, flexible electronics, hardware

security, and additive manufacturing. Integrated Photonics: We are interested in programmable photonic circuits and quantum and microwave photonics, with applications in scalable systems, quantum information, sensing, and signal processing. RF Engineering: We encourage applications from those working in microwave and millimeter-wave circuits and systems, including antennas, RF front ends, next-generation wireless (6G

and beyond), metamaterials, joint communication and sensing, secure wireless communication, radar, and AI-driven RF system design. QUALIFICATIONS Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field (or equivalent).
