Position summary

The Department of Modern Languages and Cultures at Baylor University seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position in Chinese at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in August 2027. Successful candidates are expected to develop and maintain an active research agenda in Chinese language, literature, and culture, appropriate for an R1 institution, contribute to the Chinese language program , and teach and mentor

students. The area of specialization is open. Candidates who are outside of the United States and do not have other non-immigrant visa status will not be sponsored for an H-1B petition.
