In addition,
the candidate will have advanced research skills preferably in qualititative methodology, and substantitive research in race, gender, class, collective action and public sociology. Job Duties 1. Teach four courses per semester.2. Serve on at least one departmental committee3. Submit at least one professional paper for publication annually4. for at lease 6 undergraduate students Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Characteristics Knowledge of sociological theory and practice. Knowledge of sociological methods, either quantitative or qualitative or both. Teaching experience at the undergraduate level required, graduate level optional. Ability and desire to mentor minority students Required Minimum Qualifications PhD in Sociology or Anthropology from an
accredited tertiary institution.Professional publications, teaching experience, experience mentoring of underserved populations.
