The Department specifically seeks applicants with interest in teaching, research, and the capacity to participate in student
guidance and curriculum development as well as other tasks normally associated with full-time teaching positions. Hostos Community College faculty work closely with students and each other in an open and collegial atmosphere. Hostos has both a teaching and a research mission and the candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in Mathematics and Computer Science as well as electives within their area of
research. The candidate will also be responsible for committee and other department assignments as needed. Potential candidates should be able to work collaboratively, contribute to departmental priorities in teaching, student recruitment, guidance, and research, and be able to lead efforts to broaden participation in the Mathematics and Computer Science Department.
