The successful candidate may be assigned to the
Santa Maria Campus or the Lompoc Valley Center with the possibility of teaching at other sites and/or evening and weekend classes. A mathematics faculty member provides instruction in mathematics – which may include any mathematics course through calculus and linear algebra, statistics, co-requisite support courses, and tutorial work in the Math Center. The department offers a large number of courses in Elementary
Statistics and the successful candidate will need to have preparation and/or experience with that subject matter.Essential Functions and QualificationsWork with students possessing a broad range of academic preparation, learning styles, skills, motivation, and educational goals.Communicate effectively.Plan, organize, and effectively present innovative course materials and concepts.Evaluate and advise students; and
