Position summary

SummaryThe School of Engineering is seeking multiple positions in computational biology, computational chemistry, bioinformatics, signal processing, AI, Robotics, Robotics, Cybersecurity, Big Data in Health, Human Virtual Modeling and Precision Medicine, and those with Digital Health industry experience in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical manufacturing, Dassault Systèmes SW Suite, or equivalent familiarity with the

value chain for manufacturing next generation diagnostic, theragnostic and treatment using simulation and multi-scale modeling, and VR and AR systems integration. Candidates will be expected to build and tailor capabilities to meet the challenge of integrating the 3DS Platform into course development, teaching and learning, and research. These positions offer excellent potential for career growth and leadership. The

successful candidates must possess strong record of academic and research excellence at the cutting edge of their fields. Long Island University (LIU) hosts a leading Dassault Systèmes Center of Excellence in Life Sciences. Through our collaboration with Dassault Systèmes and other partners, we are spearheading the digital transformation of life science, education and clinical practice by leveraging advanced

computational methods, AI and in-silico modeling. The pillars of our joint strategy rely on 1) Computer Aided solutions for drug discovery, design, delivery and repurposing 2) multiscale and multiphysics modeling of the human systems, referred to as Virtual Twin, with direct application in therapy discovery, therapy development and precision medicine (Pharmaceuticals and Medical Device) 3) AI augmented solutions for

life sciences. LIU has received approval from the New York State Education Department (NYSED) to establish/launch a Bachelor of Engineering in Digital Engineering degree program, which will prepare students for the workforce of the future through an interdisciplinary and experiential curriculum with an emphasis on engineering, design, computing and Artificial Intelligence. The degree program will equip students with

the tools and hands-on learning experience to design and produce innovative and cutting-edge solutions which can address real-world problems and challenges through digital medicine, personalized health, bioengineering, logistics, robotics and the Internet of Things (IoTs). The new program, fully built on DS tools and technologies, serves as a model across the global to train the next generation of engineers. The
