Job Description The University of Nevada, Las Vegas

invites applications for A ssistant Professor-in-Residence, College of Sciences [R0151583]. Starting Spring 2027. This is an in-person position ROLE of the POSITION The primary duties for this non-tenure-track academic faculty position are to teach and assess online biology lecture and laboratories courses for non-biology majors. The successful candidate will collaborate with a talented team of biology instructors in

the College and the School of Life Sciences. All candidates must demonstrate a commitment to evidence-based instructional methods for a diverse student population. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate continued scholarship and professional development. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS This position requires a Ph.D. in a biological science related degree from an accredited college or university as recognized

by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) . Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Preferred candidates will have experience teaching online undergraduate biology courses.
