Department of Global and Sociocultural Studies within the Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs, at Florida International University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Anthropology or Sociology, beginning August 2026. We seek a scholar whose primary specialization lies in the study of migration and refugees, with research that engages critically
with issues of poverty, social stratification, and/or transnational and global processes.A regional or country specialization in Latin America and the Caribbean is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the department¿s curriculum at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, maintain an active research agenda, and participate in service to the department, college, and
