Range $75,000 to $120,000 (Based on discipline) Fund Source State Support Job Summary Job Duties The Department of Chemistry, in the School of Computer, Mathematical and Natural Sciences (SCMNS), at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland is seeking to fill a tenure-track faculty position in Biochemistry at the level of Assistant Professor. A high level of scholarship and research accomplishments and/or

evidence of outstanding research potential, and evidence of strong teaching should be demonstrated. Applicants should have clearly demonstrated a commitment to using evidence-based teaching methods in the classroom and have strong interdisciplinary content knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Candidates will be expected to contribute to the interdisciplinary research

and teaching environment within the department and within SCMNS. Duties of the position include developing a strong research profile, securing external funding to support research and department programs, advising students, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and providing service to the department, SCMNS, the university and national professional organizations.
