Assistant Professor & Assistant Residency Program Director TN, United States and 1 more Be the First to Apply Job Description Job Summary The Quillen College of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry at East Tennessee State University is seeking a Psychiatrist to serve as a faculty member and an Assistant Residency Program Director. Activities include: Clinical care of patients combined with teaching and supervising

residents and medical students. Scholarly advancement Research opportunities Administrative support of the Adult Psychiatry Residency Program. Faculty rank and salary commiserate with education and experience. Some appointments may be eligible for tenure. Clinical and Research track appointments may be convertible to tenure-track no later than the end of year three of the appointment. ETSU Psychiatry provides care to

a large geographic region that includes northeast Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, Southern West Virginia, Eastern Kentucky, and Western North Carolina. Located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, our region offers a wealth of outdoor activities and excellent schools. The beautiful Smokey Mountain National Park is nearby. Two major interstate highways, 1-26 and 1-81, serve the area. There is 1 local airport and 2

others in close proximity. Tri-Cities region is Tennessee's fifth-largest Combined Statistical Area with a population of over 826,000 in 2024 and was named the best place to live in Tennessee by USA Today.
