Our faculty are scholar-educators who conduct research and teach on a broad range of topics and subfields in the disciplines of sociology and criminology. The department offers majors and minors in both Sociology and Criminology as well as a
certificate and minor in Dispute Resolution. We serve over 2,000 students across our majors. The teaching load at John Jay is 3-3.
