of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Washington invites applications for a faculty position in the Division of Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor without tenure by reason of funding (WOT), with an anticipated start date of April-October, 2027. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service
in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time basis for a twelve-month appointment. If hired at the Assistant Professor rank, the appointment will be for a 3-year term, renewable. Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Associate Professors hold indefinite appointments
that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. This position is based at the University of Washington Medical Center. The hired individual will function in a multi-disciplinary practice environment which includes fellows, resident,
and medical student teaching and clinical, translational, or basic science research. The successful candidate will be expected to have a high-volume practice and a subspecialty interest in rhinology and endoscopic skull base surgery. The hired individual will be expected to work alongside clinicians from the otolaryngology, neurosurgery, and/or ophthalmology teams, among others, as a collaborative and impactful team
member. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in research that focuses on areas critical to our specialty. The faculty member will take standard faculty call. All University of Washington faculty are expected to engage in teaching, research, and service. Salary: Assistant Professor WOT Rank: The base salary range for this position at the Assistant Professor WOT rank will be $25,834 - $27,084 per month
