University of Washington School of Medicine is recruiting a full-time faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, without tenure by reason of funding, on the Faculty-Scientist track. The appointment will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The position will also include an appointment in a Center consistent with the faculty’s area of research at Seattle Children’s Research Institute.
The successful applicant will be expected to build and maintain a focused research program that can expand with NIH grant funding. The position includes 75-80% protected time for research, with 20-25% clinical effort divided between inpatient service and outpatient clinics. Anticipated start date is July 1, 2025. Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period
(July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Associate and full Professors hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30).
