Washington School of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology is recruiting two full-time Pediatric Endocrinologists on the Clinician Scholar track at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor (WOT) without tenure by reason of funding, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Anticipated start date is Spring 2025. Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service
period (July 1-June 30). Associate Professors hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Faculty members appointed in the Department are located at various institutions (including Seattle Children’s, UW Medicine, and FHCRC), and are part of the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) clinical practice plan. The clinician-scholar will be expected to spend the majority of their time engaged in clinical work—in the inpatient as well as outpatient setting. In the outpatient
setting, faculty commonly participate in regional or outreach clinics, as well as clinics at the main hospital campus. The clinician Scholar track is for faculty interested in scholarly pursuits, such as clinical research. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.
