Department of Pediatrics, at the University of Washington School of Medicine and the Center for Immunity and Immunotherapies (CIIT) in the Seattle Children's Research Institute (SCRI) is recruiting a full time Assistant or Associate Professor, without tenure by reason of funding. The position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and will be on the faculty-scientist pathway. Anticipated start date

is Fall 2024. Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Associate Professors hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June

30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct translational laboratory and/or clinical research in an area relevant to immune cell development and/or function, including, but not limited to immunodeficiencies, immune dysregulation,

cell therapies, genetic engineering or in vivo delivery. In addition to leading their own independent research program, the candidate will provide up to 25% effort to the clinical care of patients as part of the talented Immunology team at Seattle Children’s Hospital. They will join a diverse and robust team of clinicians, physician-scientists, and other scientists within CIIT to participate in the diagnosis,

treatment and advancement of knowledge and novel therapeutics for immune based diseases.
