Assistant or Associate Professor- Real Estate FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT "At Baruch College we believe that student success is everyone’s responsibility” The William Newman Department of Real Estate at Baruch College, City University of New York (CUNY), invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position beginning in Fall 2027. We seek candidates with a strong commitment to scholarly

research, excellence in teaching, and active engagement in a dynamic real estate program. The Department offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs and maintains strong connections with the real estate industry through its location in New York City and its affiliation with the Steven L. Newman Real Estate Institute. Baruch College, located in Manhattan’s historic Gramercy Park and Flatiron districts, provides

access to the nation’s largest real estate market, major financial institutions, leading real estate firms, and a vibrant network of industry professionals. The College’s more than 19,000 students, who speak over 110 languages, have been repeatedly recognized as among the most diverse student populations in the United States. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active research agenda leading to

publications in leading academic journals, teach undergraduate and graduate courses in real estate and related areas across multiple instructional modalities (in-person, online, and hybrid), contribute to the Department’s academic and professional activities, and support the School’s growing portfolio of global and executive education programs. research. QUALIFICATIONS Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline by the date of appointment. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to conduct high-quality scholarly research and publication, a commitment to excellence in teaching, and a willingness to contribute actively to the Department’s academic and professional initiatives. Applicants at

the Associate Professor level should have an established record of scholarly achievement and demonstrated potential for leadership in research, teaching, and service. COMPENSATION $220,000- $235,000; commensurate with qualifications and experience The Department and College offer a supportive research environment, including access to major financial and real estate databases and research support resources.
