full-time (1.0 FTE) Assistant or Associate Professor on the Clinical Practice Track based at the University of Washington Medical Center. Specific rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications as generally described in UW’s Faculty Code Section 24-34. Positions are available effective July 1, 2025; specific start date thereafter is negotiable. Clinical work, teaching, scholarship, and service are

integral to all Clinical Practice positions. The initial appointment period will be three years, at a minimum, with eligibility for renewal thereafter. Faculty on the clinical practice track hold multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one

month is available for paid time off. Clinical Practice track appointments are not eligible for tenure. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research/scholarship, and service. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a nationally recognized clinical program. Duties will include primarily outpatient clinical responsibilities, with some inpatient clinical work at UW Medical Center Montlake

or UW Medical Center Northwest Hospital. The successful candidate will work with and teach students and trainees, including medical students and medical genetics residents. Administrative responsibilities will include serving on Division, Department, and/or hospital committees. The faculty member will work closely with the Medical Genetics Medical Director. Duties include but are not limited to: Performing Adult

Medical Genetics patient consultation in the hospital and/or outpatient settings via face-to-face clinics, telephone clinics, and/or video clinics. Evaluating, diagnosing, and providing treatment to adult medical genetics patients. Being on call for Medical Genetics consultations and emergencies during and after clinic hours. This includes evening, weekend, and holiday call. Performing specialty procedures as
