Description Assistant or Associate Professor, Department of Pathology, Pathologist, on clinician scholar pathway with an approximate 50:50 contribution to clinical service and academic pursuits. The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) and the University of Washington (UW) are jointly recruiting a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level without tenure due to funding

(WOT), commensurate with experience and qualifications in the Translational Science & Therapeutics Division of the Fred Hutch and the Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology (DLMP), School of Medicine at the UW. This position would have an annual service period of 12 months [July 1-June 30]. The primary appointment will be in the Translational Science & Therapeutics Division of Fred Hutch. The selected

individual for the advertised position is expected to contribute to our mission of delivering outstanding clinical care and developing excellence in clinical research in anatomic pathology/clinical pathology, and develop expertise in hematopathology and molecular pathology with interest and experience in pathology related to stem cell transplant and immunotherapy. Positive factors for consideration include, but are

not limited to: Demonstrable interest and expertise in genomics and precision oncology diagnostics in hematological malignancies Interest and expertise in pathology and genomics of lymphoid neoplasms Based on the qualifications, this position could entail a leadership role as medical director of a laboratory location. The person may also have an opportunity to participate in deep immunophenotyping and cell sorting

for genomic investigations. Fred Hutch and University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. Teaching responsibilities will involve the delivery of informal teaching sessions and formal lectures to providers and the general medical community. Faculty are expected to perform their primary activities on-site at Fred Hutch. Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization
