Research duties include developing a collaborative, internationally recognized, and externally funded research program. The program will focus on understanding and predicting forest management influences on water quality and
quantity across scales including private and publicly owned forest lands in the southeastern US and beyond, with an emphasis on the interface between water resources (e.g., streams, wetlands, aquifers, springs) and land management decision-making. The program should integrate field observations with hydrologic or ecosystem modelling of forest water resources, with a strong preference for pragmatic,
solutions-oriented, and user-inspired research. Tenure will accrue in the School of Forest, Fisheries and Geomatic Sciences (SFFGS).
