Questions General Description of the Position Delaware State University is seeking a faculty member for the Educational Leadership Doctoral Program (K12). The successful applicant will demonstrate expertise in teaching and advising at the graduate level. In addition, they will have a track record of producing culturally responsive leaders who are knowledgeable of and sensitive to the diverse needs of those they

serve, who will seek to provide equity-minded and quality education for all children, and who are instructional leaders able to build an effective team-oriented approach to teaching and learning in order to maximize the academic achievement of all students. Hybrid (online synchronous and asynchronous) instruction will be used via a cohort model in accordance with the accelerated weekend format. The candidate must

have the ability to teach any of the following K-12 foundational areas: quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research; management of people, finance & resources; use of technology in research; equity and cultural responsiveness; school and community relations; change leadership/strategic planning; instructional leadership; advanced school law, and ethics. Active engagement in research, grant writing, and

involvement in state, regional, national, and international organizations is expected. Deep familiarity with and the ability to integrate Specialized Program Association (SPA) expectations into the curriculum are essential. The faculty member may teach MEd and EdD graduate students within their fields of expertise. Essential Functions & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Essential FunctionsTeach educational

leadership doctoral-level K-12 courses in the Education Graduate Programs (including summer months for stipend).Advise and mentor graduate students.Chair and serve on dissertation committees.Continue production of innovations and scholarly work, including publications and presentations, and actively pursue external funding through grant writing.
