This is a tenure track position to begin in August 2026.
Applicants conducting research in the areas of environmental physiology, respiratory physiology, and cardiovascular physiology are particularly desired, but all relevant fields will be considered. The ideal candidate will establish a line of research that will complement and/or build off current strengths of the School. Key Responsibilities: Establish and maintain an externally funded research program. Teach
undergraduate and graduate courses in Exercise Science. Mentor undergraduate and graduate students as well as participate in service activities (i.e., Department, School, University, and Professional Organizations) Candidates who desire to be hired at the associate professor level must have an established line of research and publications consistent with tenure at a Research-1 institution. Department of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences is one of the academic units in the School of Public Health & Health Professions. There are well-established research programs and excellent facilities available within the Department and School. The Department offers a BS in Exercise Science, a BS in Nutritional Sciences, a BS/MS in Exercise Nutrition, an MS in Clinical Nutrition leading to the Registered Dietician
credential, an MS degree in Athletic Training, MS degrees in Nutrition and Exercise Science and PhD degrees in Exercise Science and Nutrition.
