Primary responsibilities include: Athletic Training & Sports Medicine Provide
prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and illnesses for assigned student-athletes. Develop and implement injury prevention and rehabilitation programs in collaboration with the Sports Medicine team. Deliver healthcare education and counseling to student-athletes. Communicate effectively with student-athletes, physicians, coaching staff, and parents, when appropriate, regarding
injury status and treatment plans. Coordinate and provide medical coverage for practices, competitions, and team travel. Collaborate with physicians and allied healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for student-athletes. Maintain accurate electronic medical records and injury documentation. Assist with insurance claim processing and related administrative functions. Support scheduling and coordination
of medical coverage for home and away athletic events. Teaching & Clinical Education Provide instruction within the School of Health Sciences Athletic Training Program. Serve as a clinical preceptor and mentor for Athletic Training students. Supervise, educate, and evaluate Athletic Training students and athletic training interns. Assist with recruitment and retention efforts for the Athletic Training Program.
