(BRAE and Ag Systems Management), and Sustainable Food Systems, a new program, with a specialization in data management and analysis, systems analytics, and life cycle analysis (LCA). The successful candidate will be a systems thinker that will contribute to interdisciplinary teaching, research, and service activities focused on advancing sustainable, resilient, and equitable food systems through data-driven
approaches. This position will teach courses across the Sustainable Food Systems major, with primary responsibility for courses covering systems thinking, life cycle assessment (LCA), data literacy, and sustainability analysis. The curriculum progresses from foundational skills in data management and food systems orientation through professional-grade LCA modeling and capstone-level industry engagement. Teaching may
span lower- and upper-division courses and will include coordination with elective offerings in data science. This position is also expected to support the institution’s Learn By Doing teaching mission, applied undergraduate research, and stakeholder engagement while building collaborations across agriculture, environmental science, engineering, nutrition, economics, and policy disciplines.
