Internal Medicine within the Department of Medicine at the University of Washington invites applications for up to eight clinical practice faculty positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Clinical Practice. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a
twelve-month full-time basis for a term of 3 years beginning July 1, 2027; specific start date is negotiable. The initial appointment period will be three years, at a minimum, with eligibility for renewal thereafter. Faculty on the Clinical Practice track hold multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service
over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Clinical Practice track appointments are not eligible for tenure. The successful candidate will be expected to serve as an attending physician in the Hospital Medicine Program at Harborview Medical Center, University of Washington Medical Center (Montlake and Northwest Campuses), or VA Puget Sound Health Care
System. They will also be expected to teach residents and medical students. Candidates will be considered across a range of interests in internal medicine. Assistant Professor range: $14,334 - $20,672 per month ($172,008 - $248,064 annually), Associate Professor range: $19,936 - $22,944 per month ($239,232 - $275,328 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
