Examples of Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities:A commitment to excellence in teaching and
research in the Biology Program as their primary responsibility. Teach relevant undergraduate and graduate courses, with a student-centered, active-learning approach. Advise undergraduate and graduate Biology major students. Mentor both undergraduate and graduate students in research. Develop an extramurally funded research program. Conduct scholarly activity. Engagement in recruitment, curriculum development,
serving on committees and advising student organizations, and other duties as assigned. Typical Qualifications Minimum Position Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc.):Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Genetics, Anatomy & Physiology, or other relevant discipline in Biological Science from a regionally accredited college or university, with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the
applicable discipline. Must have demonstrated teaching experience at the college/university level Evidence of teaching effectiveness in the areas of Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and/or Anatomy & Physiology Must have demonstrated experience in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and/or Genetics and Anatomy & Physiology methods and techniques where applicable. Must have demonstrated substantive scholarly achievement
