The Department of Architecture seeks candidates
who are committed to educating diverse leaders of character and who view architecture as a vehicle for the greater good. Grounded in Belmont’s Christ-centered mission, the program emphasizes collaborative, interdisciplinary learning; the integration of creativity, empathy, and technical rigor; and the development of meaningful, human-centered design approaches that engage community, context, stewardship, and
professional practice.Responsibilities of the position include teaching 24 credit/workload hours per year in the architecture program, with an emphasis on the history and theory of architecture in one or more of the following areas:A holistic approach to the histories of architecture, including vernacular traditions and professionally-designed buildings in a global contextTheories of architecture, especially as they
