Position description ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (CLINICAL X SERIES) - PEDIATRIC UROLOGIST The Department of Urologic Surgery at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, is recruiting for

a full-time faculty member in the Professor of Clinical X series at the Assistant/Associate rank in the specialty of Pediatric Urology. Faculty in the Clinical X series are expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service. The successful candidate will have strong clinical and surgical skills in the area of pediatric urology and preferably

desire to surgically treat patients with complex disorders. Duties involve multi-disciplinary clinics that have been established to address some of the complex medical conditions such as Disorders of Sexual Development (DSD), Spina Bifida, Bladder Exstrophy and Cloacal Anomalies. In addition to patient care, the position will be engaged in clinical research, teaching, and service activities. The candidate will have

teaching responsibilities that include teaching and supervision of various learners such as medical students, residents, fellows, and PA/NP students. Participation in appropriate professional societies and educational organizations is expected as well as providing service to department and school committees to fulfil University and public service and scholarly and creative activity achievements. The incumbent must

foster collegiality and work collaboratively in a diverse environment that fosters team science and multi-disciplinary patient care, adhere to University policies and procedures and be sensitive to the needs of patients from diverse backgrounds.
