Assistant/Associate Professor and Extension Specialist in forest business/forest economics. This is a tenure-track, 12-month appointment, with 65% Extension and 35% teaching. The successful candidate will develop an extramurally funded program to expand education, outreach, and applied research in forest business resources for non-industrial private forest landowners and the forest industry. The successful candidate
will perform the educational functions of the Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES). In addition, the successful candidate will develop a successful extramurally funded Extension program with related applied research focusing on forest business practices, including but not limited to economics, costs of forestry practices, forest microenterprises and income-producing opportunities, forest products and markets,
economic development, and forest management practices. Exceptionally qualified candidates will be considered for the Harry E. Murphy Endowed Professorship which provides a modest salary supplement and additional operating funds.
