(UW), Department of Pediatrics, Division of Developmental Medicine is currently recruiting for three, full-time faculty members at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate or Professor on the Clinical Practice Track. Specific rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications as generally described in UW’s Faculty Code Section 24-34. Anticipated start date is Summer 2026. The Mission of the

Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP) Programs at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital is: To maximize the lifelong potential of children and families affected by neurodevelopmental & behavioral conditions through collaboration, compassionate medical care, advocacy, education and research. Led by 17 faculty members, our Division provides developmental monitoring for high-risk infant

populations and integrated medical and behavioral care for children in the Pacific Northwest region with a wide variety of neurodevelopmental diagnoses including intellectual disability, autism, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, brain malformations, specific genetic conditions, and many others. The Division supports training at all levels and hosts a robust fellowship program with two fellows per year (6 total). Our

faculty also engage in bench, translational, and clinical research focused on understanding neurodevelopmental conditions and improving the lives of those affected by them. Division faculty play key leadership, research, and clinical roles at the UW Institute on Human Development and Disability which houses Federally funded programs including Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND),

University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD), Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center (IDDRC), and others. We hope to add three creative and energetic early career faculty to our vibrant faculty so that we can improve access to DBP care, particularly for underserved urban, suburban, and rural populations.
