Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, University Medical Line, Dermatology Stanford University University Medical Line Opening at: Mar 10 2026 - 9:00am PDT The Department of Dermatology at Stanford University seeks a board-certified or board-eligible dermatologist to join the Department/Division as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in the University Medical Line (UML). We are particularly

interested in candidates who are driving innovative research that addresses critical patient-centered issues in adult medical dermatology. The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the

individual is expected to fulfill. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. The successful applicant should have a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from an accredited institution, board certification or eligibility in dermatology, and a valid medical license to practice. The candidate should demonstrate expertise in investigative dermatology with a focus in

patient-oriented research; experience in translational research and interest in interdisciplinary collaborations are highly encouraged. A strong record of, or potential for, publication in peer-reviewed journals is essential. Grant funding is encouraged in the interest of establishing regional or national recognition. Teaching experience in a clinical or academic setting is preferred. We expect the successful

candidate to play a key role in advancing research across any area of investigative medical dermatology that tackles critical patient-centered issues, contributing to the department's research profile. The candidate will foster impactful research initiatives and interdisciplinary collaborations that prioritize patient outcomes while supporting the department's educational mission through the development of specialty

programs and advanced teaching methodologies for medical students and residents. Additionally, the candidate is expected to actively engage with professional societies and organizations, promoting collaboration and advocacy within the dermatology field and participating in national and regional conferences to stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in patient care and research.
