seeking a non tenured faculty position as full time Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice, Associate Professor of Clinical Practice, or full Professor of Clinical Practice to join the Division of Cardiology as a member of the Electrophysiology Team. Anticipated Start Date - 2026 Division description/details: Heart Center currently includes 48 Cardiologists, 4 Cardiac Surgeons, 11 ARNP’s. Current EP staffing
includes 3 pediatric electrophysiologists, 2 EP/pacemaker clinic RN’s, 2 cath/EP lab RN’s, administrative support. Dedicated pediatric EP laboratory. Clinical: Provide EP clinical expertise in outpatient, inpatient, and operative environments. Support the general cardiology and cardiac surgical programs for acute and chronic arrhythmia management. Perform invasive EP procedures including diagnostic and interventional
EP studies and ablations, implantation of cardiac rhythm management devices. Assist with intra-operative rhythm device implantations when required. Reading of ECG, ambulatory monitors, and device interrogation reports. Assist clinic pacemaker RN with scheduled and acute device checks, remote, in-clinic, and inpatient. Participation and contribution to the EP section quality improvement activities. Participation in EP
call rotation. Research: Look for opportunities for scientific investigation, and collaboration with Seattle Children’s Heart Center, with other divisions, and other institutions. Education: Provide education for acute care nursing, medical students, residents, fellows, and ARNP’s. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research/scholarship and service. In addition to clinical work, teaching,
scholarship, and service are integral to all Clinical Practice positions. The initial appointment period will be three years, at a minimum, with eligibility for renewal thereafter. Faculty on the clinical practice track hold multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June),
