description The University of California, Irvine, Department of Medicine, Mary & Steve Wen Cardiovascular Division, is searching for a full-time faculty member in the In-Residence Series, at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank to join our team. This position is intended for a research-focused investigator whose work advances cardiovascular science. The Division welcomes applicants conducting
laboratory-based discovery science, translational or implementation research, clinical investigation and trials, outcomes research, or prevention and epidemiologic studies related to cardiovascular disease. Interdisciplinary approaches incorporating data science, informatics, biostatistics, or community-engaged research are strongly encouraged. The successful candidate will conduct substantial independent research,
seek extramural funding, publish in peer-reviewed journals, teach and mentor medical students, residents, fellows, and trainees, and perform University and public service. The preferred Candidate will have research expertise in cardiovascular epidemiology, prevention, or population health and experience conducting or collaborating on large observational cohort studies, clinical registries, or population‑based
cardiovascular research, including NIH‑funded or multi‑center studies.
