Position description The Department of Medicine (http://med.ucsd.edu/), the Division of Nephrology-Hypertension (https://nephrology.ucsd.edu/) at the University of California, San Diego, is committed to academic excellence within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Division of
Nephrology-Hypertension has breadth and expertise in clinical care, pathology, and clinical investigation in glomerulonephritis, and is moving to establish a center of excellence in this area. To expand scientific discovery and rapid translation from bench to bedside and bedside to bench, the Division now seeks to recruit investigators with basic/translational research expertise in glomerulonephritis and/or
immunology. The successful candidates will be responsible for conducting research in the field of glomerulonephritis and/or immunology. They will take on responsibilities in leadership and/or teaching. The selected candidates may also provide clinical care, depending on the Division’s needs and the candidate’s training and experience. The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full
Professor level will be based on the candidate’s background and experience.
