Position description The Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego (http://med.ucsd.edu) is committed to academic excellence within the
faculty, staff, and student body. We are actively recruiting academic physicians for faculty positions in Obesity Medicine at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The positions include providing care within a multidisciplinary obesity center, with potential opportunities to also practice general internal medicine in a faculty primary care clinic. The selected candidates will contribute to high-quality
clinical care, including the management of patients through lifestyle interventions, anti-obesity pharmacotherapy, and coordination of care for bariatric surgery. In addition, the selected candidates will be responsible for the teaching and training of students, residents, and fellows, and, if applicable, conducting research in their area of expertise.
