Position description The Department of Pathology at the University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence within its faculty, staff, and student body and is seeking pathologists to work in conjunction with the VA. The Department of Pathology plays a key role in the University’s three

missions. It aims to achieve the highest standards in patient care, research, and education. The Department provides diagnostic pathology services in a wide variety of subspecialties with highly trained subspecialists who are recognized for their expertise. Its educational mission encompasses teaching medical students, residents, fellows, and other trainees, fostering the next generation of pathologists and

scientists. The Department’s research programs are diverse and interface with a wealth of basic and translational research programs that are a hallmark of UC San Diego. To be considered for this appointment, candidates must also apply at the VA.
