Position description The Department of Medicine at University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Division of Gastroenterology is actively recruiting clinical gastroenterologists with a focus on management of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), along with clinical research in the field
of IBD. The successful candidates will spend the majority of their time EITHER: • In the clinical care of IBD patients, AND/OR • As a clinical investigator in outcomes or health services research, or translational research applied clinical informatics The successful candidates will provide leadership in teaching, research or service towards building a scholarly environment. The appropriate series and appointment at
the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s background and experience.
