Position description The University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine, Department of Urology is committed to academic excellence within the faculty, staff, and student body. We are seeking faculty member(s) with expertise in gender-affirming urologic and pelvic surgery to join a large,
collaborative, multidisciplinary program providing comprehensive care for transgender and nonbinary patients. The successful candidate(s) will manage a patient population from a broad referral base and will provide clinical care at multiple sites, including VAHCS San Diego. Clinical responsibilities will include gender-affirming surgical procedures such as vaginoplasty, phalloplasty, metoidioplasty, and related
reconstructive care. The successful candidate(s) will also participate in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, and engage in scholarly activity aligned with the advancement of gender-affirming care.
