Position overview Position title: Gender Affirming Surgery Salary range: The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $250, 000 - $500,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation

Position description The University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine, Department of Urology is committed to academic excellence within the faculty, staff, and student body. We are seeking faculty member(s) with expertise in gender-affirming urologic and pelvic surgery to join a large,

collaborative, multidisciplinary program providing comprehensive care for transgender and nonbinary patients. The successful candidate(s) will manage a patient population from a broad referral base and will provide clinical care at multiple sites, including VAHCS San Diego. Clinical responsibilities will include gender-affirming surgical procedures such as vaginoplasty, phalloplasty, metoidioplasty, and related

reconstructive care. The successful candidate(s) will also participate in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, and engage in scholarly activity aligned with the advancement of gender-affirming care. This position offers a dynamic academic environment with opportunities for clinical program development and leadership within a growing area of specialty care. The appropriate series and appointment

at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s background and experience.
