Position description The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery within the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego, is committed to academic excellence within the faculty, staff, and student body and is seeking highly qualified Physiatrists to complement our non-surgical Orthopaedic
practice. The nonsurgical musculoskeletal service line of UC San Diego Orthopaedic Surgery is expanding, and the candidate would join other Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and non-surgical physicians in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. The successful candidates will manage general musculoskeletal conditions, including the non-surgical management of common shoulder, knee, hip, and spine conditions,
providing essential continuity of care. Opportunities to practice sports medicine are available at all levels, ranging from amateur to professional athletes. Fluoroscopy procedural opportunities, along with opportunities in non-surgical arthritis management, are also available. Responsibilities also include teaching, with opportunities for basic science and clinical research at UC San Diego facilities. The
