Position description The Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine is recruiting for a full-time faculty member in

the Health Sciences Clinical (HSCP) series at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank in Family Medicine. Faculty in the HSCP series are expected to engage in teaching, demonstrate professional competence and activity, scholarly or creative work, and University and public service. EXPECTATIONS The successful candidate will be expected to contribute with distinction in the areas of clinical care, teaching mentoring

of medical trainees, scholarly and/or creative activities, and University and public service. The successful candidate must have the ability to foster collegiality and work collaboratively in a diverse environment and must have the ability to adhere to University policies and procedures. Specific core duties, functions and responsibilities will include: • Providing direct outpatient clinical care in all aspects of

family medicine, across the patient age spectrum. • Providing inpatient care for adult and pediatric hospital patients, and/or providing inpatient care for obstetrical patients. • Teaching and supervision of residents and medical students providing clinical care in the inpatient and outpatient settings, and in didactic sessions. • Participating in clinical care quality monitoring and improvement efforts. • Providing

service to Department, School, and other (e.g., University, professional society, community) committees • Participating in scholarly and/or creative activities appropriate to the HSCP series: This recruitment is conducted at the Assistant/Associate rank.
