Position description The Division of Geriatrics, Hospice, and Palliative Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine at the

University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, is recruiting for two full- time faculty members in the Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Assistant, Associate, or Full, Professor rank in Geriatric Medicine. Faculty in the Clinical X series are expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service.

Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series are expected to engage in teaching, professional competence and activity, scholarly or creative activities, and University/public service. Geriatric Medicine Faculty responsibilities include inpatient and/or outpatient clinical care; teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; university/public service; and regular attendance at scheduled meetings and

CME activities. The incumbents should be able to provide expert clinical care in the field of geriatric medicine. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a diverse group of colleagues depending on clinical area of focus. Multidisciplinary collaboration is expected for consultative ambulatory practice with support from physical therapy, pharmacy and social work. Inpatient geriatrics consultative work

to support orthopedics, trauma service and hospital medicine is also available. Those in the Clinical X series are expected to have a scholarly work portfolio which includes research supported by grant funding and a publication record commensurate with rank.
