full-time innovative social researcher with expertise in the field of violence prevention and intervention. The candidate will join a vibrant team of public health professionals who work to address the root causes of violence by using a public health model through their work as a hospital-based violence intervention program (HVIP). The HVIP, the Wraparound Project, has been in existence for twenty years and continues
to look for new ways to measure the value, through scholarly activities, of the efforts of the program’s staff, the Violence Prevention Professionals. The position will lead a research program dedicated to building the evidence for best practices in violence prevention and intervention and who is also interested in leading multi-institutional work with colleagues in other HVIPs across the country. Candidates who are
interested in Program Management and being part of a leadership team that will continue to provide strategic direction for the HVIP and build on local and national partnerships are highly desirable. Candidates who are well-versed in qualitative research methodologies and who work well in a team environment are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree with a strong background in
public health and social drivers of health.
