As a provider in the Student Health Center (SHC) and
Faculty and Staff Treatment (FAST) Center, the APRN acts as a healthcare team member and provides direct patient care, in person or via telehealth, to students, faculty, staff, and dependents, including initiation of treatment, evaluation of responses to treatments, referral to appropriate specialists when indicated, and accurate and timely documentation of all findings concerning the patient in the electronic health
record (EHR). The APRN acknowledges the unique characteristics of each patient and provides respectful, culturally competent, and professional clinical services.
