Position description The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis seeks an innovative and highly motivated master’s or doctorally prepared Family or Adult Gerontological Nurse Practitioner to join the faculty. This Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) will serve in a unique role providing clinical care to older adults or families,
clinical teaching activities, and clinical research. While all Nurse Practitioners are welcome and encouraged to apply, the school is particularly interested in FNPs or AGPCNPs who have an interest in healthy aging, dementia care, and chronic disease management in older adults or unhoused people. They will have recognized expertise in the care of older adults, particularly the holistic assessment and management of
older adults with dementia, chronic co-morbid diseases, and/or frailty. This position will split their time between clinical responsibilities, teaching, and research. This position will be responsible for providing patient care in the healthy aging clinic collaborating with geriatricians, advanced practice providers, and other clinicians and staff. In the clinical practice environment they will work under the
direction of the Healthy Aging Clinic leadership in a team-based care environment, precept students in the clinic, serve as a clinical resource in providing clinical care for older adults including co-developing multifaceted treatment plans, providing patient education, and participate in clinical care huddles; they will report to the Associate Dean for Practice for practice related issues.
