The Center for Geospatial Analysis at William & Mary, a public university of the Commonwealth of Virginia, is recruiting a pool of qualified individuals for possible part-time in-person (not remote) adjunct teaching appointments. The Center for Geospatial Analysis (CGA) is the comprehensive resource for William & Mary students, faculty, staff, and community partners for mapping and geospatial technologies in
education, applications, and research. We are a collaborative teaching team composed of academics and professionals that support education with coursework, and individual and group advising. This pool will remain open to address additional teaching needs that may arise throughout the year. Within the College of Arts & Sciences, adjunct faculty may be responsible for: • Teaching assigned undergraduate and/or graduate
courses depending on unit need • Preparing syllabi and course materials • Delivering in-person instruction and assessing student learning • Holding office hours • Fulfilling other instructional duties consistent with departmental needs Your application will remain active as long as the pool position is available but no more than one year. Job Description: Required Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Geospatial Analysis or a closely related field, or equivalent experience combination of education, experience, and training. Preferred Qualifications: A Ph.D. or other appropriate terminal degree, or ABD status, in Geospatial Analysis or a related field at the time of appointment (August 10 for fall or January 10 for
spring). Previous academic teaching experience is desirable. Conditions of Employment: This position is also not eligible for work visa sponsorship.
