The Program Director / Instructor (PD/Instructor) for the Lactation Education Program (LEP2) is responsible for the development, implementation, instruction, and continuous improvement of CDU’s lactation education and
certification program. This role integrates program leadership, curriculum development, accreditation oversight, and teaching responsibilities to ensure a high-quality, evidence-based educational experience. The PD/Instructor leads program operations in alignment with accreditation standards (LEAARC, IBLCE, CAAHEP, WASC, CEPH) and supports CDU’s mission to advance health equity and serve medically underserved
communities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Program Leadership & Administration Provides leadership in the development, implementation, and management of the Lactation Education Program (LEP2). Develops, revises, and maintains documentation required for accreditation and program approval processes. Ensures compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards (LEAARC, IBLCE, CAAHEP, WASC, CEPH). Establishes
program policies, workflows, and operational systems across the department and university. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, including clinical partners and community organizations. Develops and maintains clinical placement opportunities for students.
