Summary The Department of Health and Life Sciences at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science (CDU) invites applications for an adjunct faculty position at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor. The

successful candidate will have strong teaching expertise in Anatomy & Physiology, with a demonstrated record of teaching experience as a faculty member, teaching assistant, or supplemental instructor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Teaching and Instruction Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Anatomy & Physiology Design, revise, and assess courses in alignment with CDU curricula, learning outcomes, and

accreditation standards. Employ inclusive, student-centered teaching strategies that support diverse learners. Participate in curriculum development, assessment, and continuous quality improvement activities. Other Duties and Responsibilities: Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications/Requirements: EDUCATION: LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS (IF APPLICABLE): Candidates should hold a master’s degree in biomedical

sciences or a related STEM field. While a PhD in the related field is preferred, it is not required. EXPERIENCE: Meet competency requirement (experience in content area within the last five years). A minimum of 2-5 years of related teaching experience is desired. A record of successful teaching experience in undergraduate and graduate programs is preferred. KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILLS: Commitment to student learning

outcomes and evidence-based teaching practices. Knowledge of and interest in the university’s mission. A demonstrated sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and students with disabilities. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of computers and willingness to use multimedia instructional materials and computer-based
