Policy & ManagementThe USC Sol Price School of Public Policy is seeking a working professional with expertise and a primary position in legal and regulatory issues in health care. The successful candidate should possess a Master’s degree or doctorate in accounting, finance, business economics, or a closely related field. The candidate will be able to teach graduate-level course related to one or more of the following
areas: Theories and practices of financial accounting with emphasis on healthcare, accounting as a management tool; accounting systems; basic accounting concepts and procedures; budgets; financial statements. Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience and excellent teaching evaluations.PPD 516 – Financial Accounting for Health Care Organizations. Course learning objectives include:
understanding various accounting systems, and financial accounting theories with emphasis on health care matters, understanding and communicating basic financial accounting terms, and analyzing financial statements and performance. This course will meet in-person, Thursday nights at 6-9:20pm this fall semester (August 24, 2026-December 4, 2026).Adjunct instructor responsibilities include delivery of course content,
scheduling office hours and being accessible to students as appropriate, and grading. Each instructor is expected to provide students with a syllabus outlining the course goals, schedule and all requirements for the course under the direction of the Department Chair.The hourly rate range for this position is $29.06/hr. - $38.89/hr.
