Adjunct Instructor – Mathematics (General Call) DESCRIPTION OF JOB: The Department of Physical, Computational, and Mathematical Sciences at Edgewood University invites applications for adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate level courses and corequisite support courses. The candidate should be mission driven with a desire to innovate to improve and enhance the experience of college students in mathematics
courses. Responsibilities: The candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or corequisite support courses for undergraduate students, including preparing instructional materials, pacing, and assessment. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Necessary Education or Work Experience: For corequisite courses: BA/BS in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related discipline. For undergraduate courses: MA/MS, ABD,
or earned doctorate in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related discipline. (Including at least 18 credits of graduate level mathematics). Required Knowledge and Skills: An enthusiastic, reflective approach to teaching. Ability to engage all students in developing the skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to reach their learning goals. Ability to work collaboratively with department colleagues and
others on campus. Proficiency in the use of technology, such as learning management systems and online homework platforms.
