Durham Technical Community College is hiring an Adjunct Instructor in the Human Services and Public Safety Department. The Adjunct Instructor is responsible for course preparation, delivery, grading, and records management. The Instructor will work closely with the Director of Criminal Justice. Examples of Duties 1. Teach all courses, as assigned, for the full duration of scheduled instruction.2. Be fully prepared
with an approved lesson plan for each class session. 3. Enforce academic policy and procedures at all times and comply with institutional/accrediting body rules and regulations.4. Stay current with developments in the field of instruction and in compliance with certifying accreditation standards. 5. Assume responsibility for offsite/classroom preparation, including maintenance and cleanup, and recommend, as necessary
practical supplies and equipment needed for instruction. 6. Maintain national, state, and college credentials supporting the role of the adjunct instructor, participating in required training by the accrediting body and/or the college.
